1)What did you learn about Tom Thomson in the first paragraph?
The first paragraph talks about Tom Thomson who established a very significant role on how the Group of Seven formed. The Group of Seven is an artist group but not a lot of people know that Tom Thomson was an important part of how they formed. It also tells us that Tom Thomson was obviously an artist since he was somehow related to how they formed.

Event 1:Tom was born in 1877 and he was descended from Scottish Pioneers.

Event 2:Tom dropped out of school during his youth so he spent most of his time fishing and hiking and helping his family’s farm.

He started from not having much interest in visual arts to becoming a wonderful unforgettable artist. Yes, he didn't underestimate himself just because he didn’t like visual arts in his youth he still believed that he could do visual arts and be passionate for it. At the time of 1901, he started sketching and he seemed to get more of an interest in visual arts as he grew. As he started to work at the Grip Limited in Toronto he met the Group of Seven. Tom Thomson sold his painting for $250 which was a real milestone for him. Tom Thomson expressed a significant role in Group of Seven. Tom Thomson’s friends of Group of Seven separated for a while. Tom Thomas gained confidence and started doing wonderful paintings by trying. But as one day Tom died drowning while canoeing and he being an expert canoeist at canoeing no one expected this. As three years went by Tom’s death the group of Seven formed together. The moral of this story is that Tom achieved being the artist though he wasn’t a fan of it as a kid. Tom achieved everything he could before his death and he always lived like there was no tomorrow. He is a determined person. He never gives up and he’s always motivated. Though when he was a kid, he didn't have much interest in visual arts as he did in playing the violin and mandolin and drama. He was a person basically interested in arts throughout his whole life. He is a person that likes to explore nature as it mentioned in the biography that he dropped out of school and spent most of his time fishing and hiking. Tom was adventurous, he started painting and even sold a painting for $250 with all his hard work.He knows a variety of things like swimming,canoeing, and painting.
