Cole is the main character in a deep novel called Touching Spirit Bear. Cole is very dynamic because his entire personality changes throughout the book. He goes from saying,” I ever see you again, you’re dead,” he vowed. “I’ll teach you to be afraid of me (45).” This is Cole talking about the spirit bear. If Cole wants to kill the bear just so he can make it be afraid of him, he definitely has no respect for nature whatsoever. However, Cole’s view on nature changes after his “incident” with the spirit bear. He starts to see the beauty in nature and then fully accepts his place in life.
