Geography: Decentralizing Brisbane and Moving to Townsville
I am proposing to decentralize Brisbane so that we can strengthen our regional regions such as the city of Townsville. I am proposing to put money into this city so we can spread our growing nation and state to regional cities such as Townville. I am suggesting improving the transport in Townsville – such as highways, buses, faster trains and express trains from Brisbane to Townsville, ferries and a larger and improved airport facility. I am also suggesting putting money into housing, apartments, educational facilities (such as universities, schools and day care facilities) and money into the hospitals and medical practitioners. According to these statistics Brisbane’s population is going to swell at a vastly uncontrollable rate. My plan proposes to decentralize Brisbane so that Brisbane is not overcrowded with people and also spend more money on Townsville so we can move the population there by creating a new ‘shining star’ for the North of Queensland. In this way, people will not have to travel to Brisbane for luxurious accommodation, an urbanised feel or for business opportunities. This will create more job opportunities as more money goes into the city the employment options in fashion, government, sports and business will rise significantly. Townsville will be like a new capital city for Queensland that includes state of the art facilities, a well organised community and a pristine lifestyle. These improvements are very important to the North of Queensland as well as the future of our every growing state. This project will have many social, economic and environmental benefits that are beneficial to why this project must commence.
