When disaster hits, people change. When an earthquake leveled Haiti, people around the world flocked to help those in need. But what about when the tragedy is worldwide and there is nobody to come to their aid. Human beings have a natural instinct to help their fellow man in times of great distress, but when tragedy occurs and everyone is in trouble and the tragedy is long term people start to change their state of mind. Some people will lose all hope and humanity, while others will keep hope alive at all costs. While tragedy can make a person cynical, survival can give others hope to go on.
