Transfer of Training Evaluation
DeVry University
HSM-420
Proposed to: Professor Bengley
Submitted by: Deborah Franks
The training videos have been purchased and the training in-service will be scheduled for next month, to determine whether we will continue with this form of training it is important to measure its effectiveness. It is our ultimate goal that our training or in-services increase knowledge of our students. Although there are several methods to evaluation training, I chose Level 2 of Kirkpatrick’s training evaluation.
Using the Level 2 evaluation will answer the questions centered on our training, since this evaluation focuses on the learning aspect of training we will be able to measure: if the students learned what our training was intended to teach, the experience of taking this course as well as the knowledge gain after this in-service.
A pre-test will be given consisting of multiple choice questions, there are several reason why this test will be given : this will allow a measuring point for the pre-existing knowledge on the course topic, used to compare with the starting point of a post test, it allows students after completion to test out with a better score, it will also indicate to the student the learning level of the course topic, we will also be able to use the scores to determine what topics are/are not needed in future training based on the student’s previous knowledge.
Also to measure the affective outcome of attitude and motivation of our students, a survey has been created. The pre-test has been created live so that it can be taken before the course starts, students can access this test by the link provided: http://www.quizmoz.com/quiz.asp?quizid=58003The survey will be filled out after the in-service and can be accessed by the following link. http://www.surveyonics.com/surveyflow/CSI-Traning-of-hair,-blood,-and-fingerprints/12082 CSI Training Survey on collection techniques of hair, blood, and fingerprints
