Conformity simply allows an individual to belong but those who are different are shunned which reinforces the judgmental core of humanity. Listing establishes ‘Global debates arose about the wrongful profiling of people based on what they wear: racism: class warfare; and the vilification of a fashion item’. This technique is utilised to portray the several negative consequences of judging those who are different, causing divisions in humanity. These three statements have been significant problems amongst society which influences their judgemental core and without change will remain divided. Irony declares ‘It is ironic that they cover the wearer and minimise attention, yet many find the anti-confrontation actually confronting’. The burqa alongside the hoodie are worn to convey a low profile but are demonised. These basic item’s purpose is to minimise attention, however, by masking one’s humanity, it elicits fear and suspicion.
