In Shakespeare's Hamlet, the main character does not show his true nature to other characters when he is in public he shows his true nature and feelings when he is alone. Everybody as person is very different they either act the same they act when they are in public because they are a open person and some people conserve who they are as a person and don’t show it in public but always show their true natures and feelings when they are alone. Hamlet is one of those people because throughout the play, the main character Hamlet shows his true natures and feelings in private not in public.

Hamlet shows his true self when he sees Claudius which is the man that murdered his father, and he sees him praying. For Hamlet this is a big opportunity for him to avenge his father and kill Claudius. What makes Hamlet hesitate is that Claudius was praying he looks at it as Claudius is praying to be forgiven for his sins and this shows a sense of pity that Hamlet has for Claudius and also that he basically feels that killing him while he is praying is morally wrong.(3.3) This shows Hamlet's true self when he is alone is different compared to when he around other characters because when he around other characters Hamlet acts rude, but when he is alone is true self appeared and showed that although Claudius killed his dad and he had a chance to kill him he still has a heart.
