“Tuesday of the Other June” by Norma Fox Mazer is a realistic fiction short story about a little girl named June and her mom who have little money but try to make the best of it. June gets bullied and she doesn’t try to stop it, but decides to take the punishment. June and her mom had enough things to worry about. June didn’t want to make more troubles for her and her mom so she struggles with this bully. June struggles with telling anyone about the other June. When her mom asked her why she didn’t want to do swim class anymore she didn’t answer because she didn’t want to tell her mom about the other June. She never told the swim teacher about the other June either. In paragraph 5-6 June’s mom tells her, “Now, Junie, if anyone ever bothers you-” “-I walk away, run away, come all the way home as fast as my feet will take me,” June recited. This shows that instead of doing what her mom told her and not create any trouble, she got bullied every Tuesday. …show more content…

June can’t take much more of June bullying her. In paragraph 97 June sticks up for herself by saying,” No, no, no!” This shows that she didn’t care anymore about their troubles and that she was fed up with June and that she had to put a stop to all of it. It drove her to the point of not caring if her mom found out or
