“Tupac and My Non-Thug Life” Essay Response In the short story, Tupac and My Non-Thug Life, Jenee Desmond-Harris writes about her reaction to the death of rapper Tupac Shakur, who was killed in a drive-by shooting. Although Tupac was known negatively throughout the media, Desmond-Harris was a fan of his music and his message.
