There are three to four major advantages of a two-party system that help promote the public good. Secondly, it’s more efficient to parties today because they’re surrounded by various branches such as local, federal, and state departments. Thus, it allows the elected official to make their support groups to manage and finish extremely important things properly. Third, it is easily managed so most legislators decide to have it when there is an election. As for the disadvantages, there are also three including the following, for one, they have people with two options. Owning to the fact, it comes with voters having difficulties in choosing the right elected official, aside from that, they might need a large amount of time to choose the well trusted one. Secondly, they need to promote deadlock and division where every party are always looking for political advantages and office holders that are underneath some pressure. Lastly, they promote corruption which is one of the main discussion that often-dishonest actions that can ruin your trust by bunch of countries. “One of the reasons why the rate of corruption is increasing is due to two party system” (Asia-Pacific Economics Blog).
