Are hybrids of two separate species superior to purebreds?

Did you know that most hybrid animals can't sexually reproduce due to the fact they have a mixed number of chromosomes. Therefore, hybrids are not their own species. The purpose of this research paper is create a list of resources to assist in the experimentation required to answer the above question in italics.

Male guppies have smaller bdies and bigger fins than female guppies and have a long anal fin used in fertilization. In females, the fin is much more triangular in shape. Males also tend to be more colorful than females. Guppies are omnivores, like most fish, and benefit from vegetable food. Their upturned mouth is also good for eating wriglers.
