Character Analysis Of Louie Zamperini Louie Zamperini the world war 2 veteran and an Olympic athlete. Louie survived at sea for 47 days, was a POW for 2 years and was a PTSD survivor. In the book Unbroken, Laura Hillenbrand uses the life experiences of Louie Zamperini to show the traits of determination and rebellious. Louie Zamperini was a determined young man.
