Recently Under Armour revealed The Chicago Brand Store. This store is located in the heart of Chicago, on the Magnificent Mile. This is the first store, in Chicago, that Under Armour will not only have its core appeal and shoes, but also includes specialty sections, such as fishing and hunting. This store includes Under Armour’s first ever “Wearables Bar’. While Under Armour has other brand stores, in areas like Harbor East and New York SoHo district, these stores are only a small fraction of the overall retail package for Under Armour. The brand does not have the normal retail stores that you would find in a mall, but rather sell their items through sporting goods store, like Dick’s and Sports Authority, and department stores, such as Macy’s. …show more content…
Some of the categories available in the Chicago store included outdoor, team sports, training, running, golf studio, youth and footwear. Along with UA Hunt and UA Fish, which include specialty appeal and footwear targeted towards that audience. The Brand House also includes Under Armor’s first-ever "wearables bar.” At the bar you can search through fitness devices, form well-known brands such as Garmin or Fitbit. All devices found at this bar, will all integrate with Under Armour’s fitness app, UA Records. UA record tracks, analyze, and shares your fitness activity. Everything you can find the UA website can be found in the stores. There are some exceptions like, online you can buy any sports team appeal, whereas the stores only sell team sporting appeal for the town that it is in. For example, you wouldn’t find Cincinnati BearCats appeal at the Chicago Store, but you will find plenty of Northwestern and a little bit of Notre Dame appeal. While on the other hand any athlete’s Under Armour’s product will be sold at all locations. Also depending on how popular the item is, you may only find certain colors or sizes at the store versus online you can find all color and sizes. The stores are tailored to the location that it’s in. So during the winter time in Chicago, the brand store wouldn’t sell summer appeal, whereas online and a store located in an area where its warm year around would. If you can’t find the exact product in the store that you were looking for, the store employees can order it for you. Also anything you buy online can be returned at the store, regardless if it is sold at the store or not. The exception is that you can’t return items you bought at an Under Armour outlet store to the brand store and vice
