Underdogs Attack Back A lot of people like to underestimate the underclass because they never really show that they can be great at something. We all go about life thinking that the popular people are the best at everything but in reality, they really aren’t. We all think that the so called losers can’t do what the popular people do because they are nerds or they don’t fit in. Monsters University shows us that just because no one believes in you, that doesn’t mean you can’t be the best. It shows the younger generation that you can do anything that you set your mind to.
To start off, the movie starts by showing us that Sully and Mike meet at college, in the scare program. This gives the audience the idea that this is how they came to become scarers at Monsters Inc. If we fast-forward some we get to see that they both get kicked out of the scaring program, but they make a deal with the Dean that if they win the Scare Games, they can get back into the scaring program. Everyone laughs and says that they can’t do it because they’re not part of the scaring program; they all say that they will be eliminated in the first round but the Oozma Kappa Fraternity stayed strong and was not eliminated! Everyone, including the Dean, was surprised! Oozma Kappa Fraternity, the underdogs, lived to see another day in the Scare Games.
