Angel Perez Underlying causes of World War 1

Kaboom! ... That’s the sound of World War 1 starting. World War 1 has started for many reasons I will explain the main causes of the war. There was the crime of ages. The growth in Armament. Germany wanting total control of the other countries. Tension within nations. The chain reaction between all the countries, and the British octopus.
My first reason is the crime of ages. The crime of ages was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Archduke was the prince of Hungary and Bohemia he got shot and killed in Sarajevo. He was killed by a man named Gavrilo Princip he was the age of 19 years old when this happen. After Archduke Assassination lead to Hungary declaring war on Serbia. This

The growth in Armament led Germany with more updated weapons than Britain. The weapons were faster and stronger. One example was the machine gun, it was more updated than any other gun it was faster than any other gun the other people had. The machine gun shot from far away, it also carried more ammo than any other gun. The Germans used the machine guns as an advantage when the enemy came out the trenches they would machine gun them from the side and kill a lot in a split second.
My third reason is Germany wanted total control over all the nearby countries. Germany would just walk in to any country and take over it. Germany were allied with Austria-Hungary & Italy. Together they would got to the borders on the nearby country and fight for it until they had it all. Germany then tries to invade Russia but Russia rebels back and doesn’t let them keep there land.
My fourth reason is Tension’s between nations. The rise of socialism and trade unions had helped with greater classes. People who worked wanted better wages. Countries had problems with ethnicity and nationalism. Like Germany and Italy united had caused other nations break apart and form their own little nations. The Balkans were then formed and controlled by the Ottoman Empire. Ottoman’s soon started losing powers over these small nations and they began to
