In the movie Unforgiven the theme of “glory” in violence is a common theme that is seen throughout the movie.

Glory in violence is a theme seen throughout the movie. You could see that in many scenes throughout. One scene that it is seen is when they are coming into the town of big whiskey and they camped for the night and kid asked how many men they have killed. When kid told them that he has killed five men kid is satisfied with what he has done to the men. Another place you could find the theme is when Delilah's face is cut. The first thing that they think of is for the men to be killed or hurt. Violence is something that is first thought of in the midst of hurt and pain or wrongdoing.
