Applause IT. Data Processing Policy (13.10.17): A schedule of legitimate data processing activities, undertaken as an employment agency and conducted with given consent.
Legitimate data processing activities for Applause IT centre on enabling our client customers to secure staff and to contract with resource personnel. In doing this we enable job candidates and contractors (service users) to enter into either a contract of permanent employment or a short-term contract respectively.
The data we collect on clients, hiring contacts and the employment opportunities they offer is taken from publicly viewable web sites in the public domain and researched as a product of telephone marketing and consultant networking activity. We also facilitate (when requested) ID and referencing details checks for client customers looking for us to supply staff and contractors.
We do not record any categories of sensitive data though will, where consent is given, forward comments relating to candidate health status when offered by the candidate in an email. The same is true of any comments relating to criminal convictions. This information is not stored on our CRM and email destroyed regularly as per our Data Retention and Minimisation Policy.
We also profile clients and candidates based on various criteria such as job tittle, location and technical skills to enable us to market services and opportunities to them by phone and email using the CRM system to generate the lists. Only candidates who have given explicit and recent consent will be included in email marketing lists and anyone who has opted out is automatically removed from this activity by the
