Chapter 9 discusses African American populations in the United States. As discussed in passed lectures, African Americans are usually the minority that suffer the most racism. African Americans also have the worse health outcomes than any other race. According to Walker (2012), white males live approximately seven years longer than African American males, and white women live more than five years longer than black women. African American women also have higher rates of infant mortality than other ethnicities. In the beginning of the quarter, we watched a video called Unnatural Causes: When the Bough Breaks.
