Addressing International Legal and Ethical Issues Simulation Summary
When a corporation does business with a different country, there are many legalities that may need to be considered. Contracts usually come into play and it is best that a well established contract is present in business dealings of this caliber.
Some of the issues that could arise or need to be considered when doing business with a foreign country are their laws and customs, political structure, and how their culture is different. When actions are taken that are against the contractual agreement between the country and the company, the reasons behind the violation should be looked at before legal action is taken. In the case of the simulation, an epidemic caused the need for a breach in contract. Had Cadmex just ignored the need of the country and gone forth with fully prosecuting them because of the breach in contract, hundreds and thousands could have needlessly died of the epidemic. This would have been bad business with the country and could have resulted in no further business dealings and difficulty with the remaining terms of the current contract.
If Cadmex decided to grant sublicensing agreements, one of the major factors they have to consider is the standards of manufacturing. Since in this case the manufacture is for medicines, how the manufacturing is done makes a large difference. In order to have proper sublicensing
