How to get to know the different uses of horses

Horses can be trained to do several different things and ridden for such jobs as police work or for herding other animals. They are used for competitive sports such as eventing, reining, polo, show jumping, horse racing, and rodeo. The history of horse use starts with a controvesersy the exact date horses were domesticated and when they were first ridden, the best estimate was about 4500 BC. Evidence suggest that horses were ridden long before they were driven. There is some evidence that about 6000 years ago, near the Dnieper River and the Don River, people were using bits on horses. They are also used for horse racing, horse shows, english riding, western riding, rodeo, roping. They can also be used for arena sports such as polo. Horses are also used for theraputic purposes. Horses lived in North America but began to die out at the end of the Ice Age and then were brought brought back by European explorers on the secon voyage of Christopher Columbus in 1493. Horse racing has long back ground as peole have long expressed the desire to know which horse or horses were faster. There are several different types of racing it starts with thoroghbread horse racing which is the most popular, steeplechasing, American Quarter Horse racing, Arabian Horses, Endurance riding, Ride and Tie.
