One of the poem that caught my eye in Starkey’s text is bitch bitch bitch bitch by Villanueva. Throughout the poem, she uses variety crafts of elements to resonant her own perspectives and personal feelings with readers. Within the title and the first two lines, Villanueva uses the sense of astonishing including irony to create the feeling of wondering for the readers. It is also one of the reason why I pick this poem. When I began reading this poem, I was questioning why any individual would like the word “bitch.” However, after I finished, I felt her desperately desire to express herself as an individual, not be rule by the view of the any others.
