To ensure that I achieve my career goals successfully, I intend to use a number of techniques. First, I plan to make and use lists on a regular basis. This technique will enable me to address all the critical aspects and reduce the chances of omitting important matters. This list might include things to do, my daily schedule, list of people to call and classes to attend. Making lists will also enable me to prioritize effectively. Secondly, I intend to put a time limit for each task so that I can prevent some tasks from eating into or dragging into the time allocated for other tasks/activities (Walsh, 2008). I also intend to invest in a clock so that I can set my deadlines effectively, ensure to set reminders, and target to be early on all my tasks. This would also require me to track the time spent on each activity to evaluate my effectiveness. I discovered that I am largely a visual learner, although I also learn through auditory and kinesthetic aspects contribute in some ways. I learnt that I tend to easily remember material that I have learnt when I jot down brief notes about the topic. Apart from that I prefer learning through the use of other learning aids such as graphs, charts, among other illustrations (Dembo & Seli, 2012). I also rely a lot on what I hear from my lecturers, which means that I am also an auditory learner. Through these learning styles, I hope to optimize my ability to learn by finding ways in which I can enhance my skills in those areas.
