The goal of this potential research topic is to educated the audience on the benefits of children being vaccinated and how it outweighs the potential side- effects. It also looks to dismiss some common myths of vaccination such as it being related to autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or ADHD, and allergies.

This is split into two groups as those against on philosophical grounds and those against on religious grounds. These people argue that there are certain chemicals that are harmful to the human body and neurological development. The chemical thimerosal, an organic mercury compound, is thought to cause autism among individuals. Numerous studies have been done but no conclusive evidence has been found to support this claim. Those against also argue that vaccinations can be fatal. This is a true fact because vaccines, as anything else, poses a risk to those receiving it. Death by vaccination is extremely rare and usually caused by a severe allergic reaction. Another argument that those against vaccinations use is the fact that the government should not interfere with personal medical decisions. The federal government, although strongly advising for vaccinating children, currently has no federal law mandating the vaccination of children. In addition, some argue that vaccination is unnatural. They believe that the body should have to create its own defense against an infection and that, by doing so, the body is better equipped to fight the infection.
