Did you know that there is no supported evidence of a link between vaccination and autism? While there are many people that believe that vaccinations can cause autism, that is unproven as of right now. Parents have free choice whether to vaccinate their kids or not, but they should to be educated on the effects, and their choice needs to be disclosed to other people and parents whose children cannot be vaccinated.
Within such a controversial topic communication is key. It is 100% your choice not to, vaccinate yourself, or your child, but you should let it be known to people around you. Not telling people around you or your child could be doing more damage than perceived. Anti vaxxers that do not tell people, schools, and daycares are potentially putting other children that cannot get vaccinated (due to allergies or immunocompromise). It is rightful that parents know whether their kids have been exposed to unvaccinated children or not. Parents are responsible for everything their children do until they are 18, and possibly putting other children in danger by getting a disease because they choose not to vaccinate their child, is utterly their fault (Appiah).
