Hello. I’m writing to you to explain the importance of getting vaccinated as an infant, child, teen, and adult. When you get a vaccine your body starts to produce antibodies to fight off that certain disease. When you get a vaccine the pathogen is either dead or weakened, so you don’t get the actual disease, your body just makes the antibodies. Infants get many vaccines during the first year of their life, about 21 or 22 of them. Lately, many mothers have been refusing to get their children vaccinated. It’s very important that they do get their children vaccinated because not only are they putting their children at risk of getting a life threatening disease, but also putting other people’s children at risk of getting the diseases.
