In Valley Forge Many colonist abandoned the war due to many reasons. According to the Estimates of Illness and Death at Valley Forge (Doc A), illness killed many colonist. In Valley Forge around 50% of the colonist got ill. Only around 10% of of the colonist died due to illness. According to the Diary of Dr. Albigence Waldo (Doc C) there were plenty of reason for the colonists to leave Valley Forge. One reason is that there was barely any food to survive and the cooking was terrible. Colonist had no extra clothes to put on due to the harsh winter, so freezing was a possibility.
