Vampire Academy has got to be the most talked about Vampire series since Twilight and with good reasons. This series has been a true pleasure to read. I loved the characters and the entire idea revolved around the different type of vampires. I literally went through all six books within a month. That's how great they are.

The first book is a bit slow but it builds the starter base for the rest. I promise you if you continue on everything gets so much more intense. Not to compare books because I honestly try my hardest not to, but much like Twilight, the very first book was not as action packed as the others but it molds the world and gives us an idea on what each character is like and then we see them grow.
