In sports it makes sense to have as much energy as possible to preform your best. When you are tired, you will definitely show signs of it and will mostly tire out. The article continues to say that there has been research where vegetarians are having lower vitamins and nutrients than someone who has an omnivorous diet. This could very well hinder someone performance in a sport. A huge part of this is protein. Yes, a vegan can get protein from non-animal products, but they are missing a big part of it. Athletes that are vegan are missing most of the protein that they need in their diet. A 2013 food and agriculture organization report states how even the most protein filled plant items in a vegan’s diet still have less protein than the important meat products. This article however is not only stating what vegans are missing in their diet, but how they can make up the protein by having higher
