No one wants to hear that they were wrong especially for something as important as our health and diet. Our stubborn ways may be keeping us from seeing some easy changes that could save lives. One of these overlooked changes, a plant-based diet, may be one of the few you will ever really need to make. Veganisism is a common misunderstood movement taking the world by storm nowadays. Its gradually growing in numbers due a lot to the fact that we finally have the technology and studies to see just how harmful meat and diary products can be on our bodies. Also, a lot of the myths of being a vegan are getting brought to life and shut down.

A common myth about vegans is that we don't eat pretty much anything excpet for salads. So, despite how comical hearing that is, it is very untrue. The dictionary definiation of a vegan is someone who doesn't eat or use animal products; So, this would include meat, eggs, dairy, and gelatin. Which still leaves plenty of food options such as: beans, pasta, bread, vegatables, fruit, rice, etc. Also to keep in mind that almost everything not vegan has a vegan substatute. The word carcinogen is commonly heard when talking about tobacco smoke, but would you believe one of the most commonly consumed carinogen is on the dinner table. Eggs, meat, and milk all contain high amounts of carcinogins. Which mean someone can go there whole life without smoking and still double or tripple their odds of getting cancer. Nutrition facts posted an online article about the risks of this shows these scary statistics, "Compared to men who hardly ate any eggs, men who ate even less than a single egg a day had a significant 2-fold increased risk of prostate cancer progression.
