As we all know Veterans Day is the day that we show those who have served and protected our country appreciation. On November 1919 President Wilson felt as though these men and women should have their own holiday The story of this day is deeper than that though. In America, November 11th was made a legal holiday on May 13, 1938. Veterans Day, also known as Armistice Day, is still celebrated today.

On November 11, 1918 was the day that the “War To End All Wars” occurred. All fighting stopped when seven months early , an armistice agreement went into full effect between Germany and allied nations.
