Another document from a captured slave in a different area or society would help to compare the work styles and the responsibilities to live on your own. This proves that children were degraded because stealing them wasn’t thought of as such a big problem; it was like stealing an object or an animal. A child’s education and economic and social status depended on the rank of their family in their society. The regional/cultural differences in these documents show the work and social class divisions and how they vary from region to region. Also, different cultures may view children more highly and think of them as a blessing rather than extra workers.
