Born March 30, 1853 in Zundart, Netherlands. Vincent Willem Von Gogh is one the most recognized Realistic painters during the 1880’s. He is most famous for the painting “Starry Night” for the use of the different color schemes and the 11 swirly stars in the night sky.

Vincent did not go to school as a young boy because of financial problems and had to work at an art gallery until he had enough money to go to college. After college he became a realistic painter, which is someone who makes an effort to make there artwork resemble real lifen. His main material he used when he was working on a peice was paint and he rarely used anything else.
