College sports: Is it time to change the game?

College sports are a big part of today’s society. Lots of teens choose the college they want to go to because of the sports offered at the college or the teams. College football should be abolished because of the useless costs, risk factor and it has no academic purpose to the students. Lots of critics want it gone. Students do not realize but a big portion of their tuition they are paying for school is not for the education part but it is to fund the football program. Students are paying for the expenses of the weight room, protein for the athletes and equipment. All just to watch them play for a discounted ticket. College football is more of a distraction for the students from their academic work. Author Buzz Bissinger tells us again “Football only provide the thickets layer of distraction in an atmosphere in which colleges
