In hopes to allow Virginia Tech to become more familiar with me, I would like to describe my academic schedule, my school and the community I live in, and my family background.
Academically, in high school, I have not zoned into one particular subject. I have a philosophy that high school is a time to widen one's horizons in anticipation for the next four years of college. With that being said, I still have managed to take every math class in my high school before the beginning of my senior year. I was taking two math classes last year to enable me to complete this. I am now currently enrolled at Wartburg college in a calculus class. I plan to take two more calculus classes next semester at Wartburg along with a stats class offered by Hawkeye

Waverly, every year, makes it to state in athletics in men's and women's sports. I am proud to say that some of my best friends are receiving scholarships for their athletics and all state awards. Waverly, being a community around 10,000 in population consistently has multiple division one athletes playing around the country. My point is, I have bled and sweated with 100s of athletes throughout my years at Waverly. I have worked out and conditioned as hard as the last guy who has gone to this school, and I can forever know that I helped multiple teams in multiple sports succeed. I have division one athletes as friends and coaches as friends. On the other hand, of the social spectrum, I have qualified for state in speech team and math team. I placed first in the last math competition I attended and last year, I helped write the script and acted in a short film that was created that sent my team to state. I am friends with some of the brightest individuals and some of the most theatre talented people that have ever been through Waverly-Shell Rock. It is a good feeling to know that you have friends with full ride scholarships for athletics and friends with scholarships for theater that both come from the greatest public education in
