Vladimir Putin has been the president of Russia since May 2012. He’s been Russia’s president twice; he served as the 2nd and 4th president but he has always been in office. Syria has been Russia’s ally since the 1970’s, and Moscow has supplied all the country’s weapons. Syria civil war have been going on for 4 ½ years; during the war more than 250,000 Syrians have lost their lives and more than 11 million have been force from their homes in the mist of the conflict. Vladimir Putin decided to help president Bashar al-Assad stay up on his feet, because he has been doing poorly in the war. Vladimir moved Russia military into Syria, he brought hundreds of troops,28 fighter jets,14 helicopter gunships, transporter, as well as six tanks, 15 artillery pieces and some other equipment. …show more content…
He felt the United States kept postponing helping out; and he feel it’s time for him to take a stand. After that the White House announced it would be sending “less than 50” special operation forces to Syria. The White House says it would offer logistical supports to local Kurdish and Arab forces that’s fighting the terrorist group Isis. Since the United States found evidence that Syria forces used chemical weapons against the Syrians; Putin warned Obama about getting involved and what would happen if he presents evidences to the U.N Security Council. Putin said it would be a good idea to think about future casualties, basically he was sending threats to Israel. The U.S is Israel’s strongest ally and they will defend them if there ever under attack. If that ever happen it would start a whole big conflict with the Middle East and could; potentially get Iran
