The organization 5-2-1-0 lets go. partners with schools, child care and out of school programs, healthcare practice and community organization in order to help change the environment in which the child and the child’s family live, work and play (Flyte, 2015). The 5-2-1-0 stands for change the 5 Is defined as fruits and vegetables, 2 is defined as two hours or less hours watching television, 1 is defined one hour or less of physical activity, and the 0 is defined as zero sugar drinks, and more water. This organize not only partners with schools but they also have a great system as to how to promote healthy eating among the community. This program is very helpful in low income communities because it provides the children the opportunity to see a doctor and get professional help on healthy eating habits. As stated above most people who live in low income communities do not have good health insurance in which they are not able to see the doctor on the regular bases. Having this opportunity is a great and it also helps close the inequality gap because people are having the same opportunities as the good communities to seeing a doctor and getting treatment. The more the inequality gap close the better the health outcome will be.
Health Policy
A healthy policy that can be developed which can help both the high and low income communities is by providing educational programs in schools on how to eat healthy and how eating unhealthy can cause obesity resulting in chronic illnesses later in life. The program can also discuss how important it is for children to participant in physical activities. This health policy will also address that health and education (gym) needs to be implemented in schools. The amount of energy being taken in has to balance the amount going out in order to avoid becoming obese. The education program can be a program that both students and parents can take
