A bigger craze than Michael Kors, or Jeeps and Range Rovers have arrived at Wakeland High School. This thing has come in hundreds, maybe even thousands, it is crickets. Crickets are the newest hot thing at our school. They are everywhere in the halls, in the classrooms, in the classroom ceilings, in the bathrooms. If there is not a student there, there is a cricket. Walking into school each day turns into an Indiana Jones movie, because you are trying to dodge all the crickets flying off the top of the ceiling and landing on your head. Looking down is even worse, entering the c- hall is like arrive to a mass murder of crickets, all those crickets died here in this school, just like all my hopes and dreams of having any free time. Students have to be very aware if they get up from their seat, and cricket just might jump in their place. …show more content…
We all thought with all the Reedy kids leaving that the hallways would be much more open, but we were all wrong. The hallways are crowded more than ever full of thousands of students and even more crickets. The teachers can finally get a break and will not have to teach that many classes, because the Crickets can take over for them. We do not even need substitutes any more the crickets could just teach the class. Let’s be honest I’m pretty sure some of the crickets have more knowledge about the subject they are teaching compared to some the substitutes that are hired. I have great group of friends here at the school, consisting of some friends from elementary school, some people that I have met here in Highschool and some crickets, we are all best buddies that will all keep in touch, unless some of die off before the end of the year. Life is short, and life is even shorter if you are cricket inside of Wakeland High
