Walmart is a very large company that carries an extremely wide variety of goods and can be found in 27 countries with more than 11,000 stores. The store slogan, “Save money, Live better,” appeals to everyone as well. Walmart offers grocery items, household items, electronics, clothing, outdoor equipment and sporting goods. This allows the target market for Walmart to be extremely diverse, it covers different ages and groups of people. Walmart does a great job at appealing to the potential customers in the area, For example the Walmart in Clarion offers hunting supplies and equipment, whereas one in Philadelphia might not have the same selection. With doing things like this Walmart has done a great job of pleasing the specific market in the area. With the wide array of goods anyone could be at Walmart; from a mom doing grocery shopping, to a college kid buying a new couch, or an elderly man picking up his prescriptions. The target market for Walmart is one of the most diverse markets there is simply because of the goods and services they offer, it appeals to almost every type of person out there.
