Wardell Stephen Curry II is a professional basketball player in the NBA. He is considered one of the greatest shooters of all time. He plays point guard for the Golden State warriors, totaling 9914 points in his career as of January 19, 2016. He is on a rookie contract for 44 million dollars until the 2016 – 2017 season. According to the NBA, Curry is the second best ball handlers in the league behind Kyrie Irving. He helped his team win the 2014 – 2015 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He also helped his team to break the highest winning streak at the start of a season by 9 wins, winning 24 games in a row.

He was born on March 14, 1988 in Akron, Ohio to Dell and Sonya Curry. He has a brother, Seth Curry, and a sister, Sydel Curry. As a child, his father, Dell Curry, who played for the Charlotte Hornets, brought him and his brother to his games. Due to his father’s road trips with his team, he trained with his mother, a former professional volleyball player.
Curry attended Charlotte Christian High School where he led his school’s team to three state playoffs and conference titles, being named all-state, all-conference and team MVP. After this, he went to Davidson College. He didn't do so well in his first college game, having 15 points and 13 turnovers, but he quickly proved himself worthy by having 32 points the next game.
