Your mom just married your uncle.You just found out that your uncle killed your dad. How happy are you? Probably not very. Hamlet went through that same exact situation, and instead of trying to cope with it he decided to get revenge for his father’s death. Many tragedies happened while Hamlet tried to avenge his father’s death. Many of those tragedies were caused by Hamlet committing the worst deadly sin, wrath.
Revenge. Imagine knowing who killed your father and knowing you can do something to get back at that person. Hamlet was told by his father’s spirit that he was murdered by his own brother. Claudius was so afraid that he sent hamlet on a voyage with two of his best friends. This voyage wasn't any voyage, it was a voyage to go get him killed. Hamlet knew that something was going on. He got the letter that was saying he needed to get murdered, and changed it to kill his best friends. He was willing to do anything to avenge his father's death even get his friends killed.
The one death that affected many people was Polonius’. The one person it affected the most was Ophelia. After her father's death she went completely insane. Everyone was really worried for her, especially her brother Laertis. When Laertis seen his sister in that state he got very furious. Ophelia was so insane that she committed suicide by drowning herself. Laertis was already ready to get at Hamlet for killing his father and now he was even more ready. He was ready to get his revenge.
Many people would think that the sin that caused most of the tragedies is envy. The reason for this was envy. Did Claudius kill his brother over a little bit of jealousy? Or was he just mad over the fact that his parents crowned him
