On April 30, 1803, the United States of America purchased Louisiana from France for fifteen million dollars. The purchase was done under President Thomas Jefferson. People argue whether the purchase was justifiable or not, I believe that it was. Thomas Jefferson is what is known as an Anti-Federalist; this is someone who opposes to a stronger government, or is opposed to anything that the country does that is not in the constitution.
