There are hundreds of thousands of different interesting places to visit in the world. Out of all of these various locations I would most like to visit Washington D.C. To begin with, there are numerous historical monuments and memorials located in the area. Also, the District of Columbia is home to several very famous museums. Finally, this area is the location of the Library of Congress which is the largest library in the world. As can be seen, there are lots of different reasons that someone would want to visit Washington D.C. First of all, the area is filled with numerous historical monuments and memorials. The Thomas Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument are just two examples of these fascinating places. Built to honor various people who may have made important contributions to our society today, each of these structures has something educational to offer us. Multiple schools even take field trips to the D.C. area so that their students can have an opportunity to learn about our country’s history through all of these intriguing historical sites. Although there are many different museums located in the District of Columbia, the Museum of Natural History and the National Air and Space Museum are two of the most recognizable. Both of these are actually parts of The Smithsonian, which is the largest museum in the world. In addition to this, there are many other museums located in the area, however not all of them belong to The Smithsonian.
