“Greed is the inventor of injustice as well as the current enforcer”, Julian Casablancas . The three documentaries that were assigned to watch were ‘Inequality for all’, ‘We’re not broke’, and ‘Citizen Koch’. These videos talked about greed, basically showing us the black and white picture of how wealth and power is being used by the 1%, and how large corporations take advantage and influence the government.
In the documentary, We’re not broke, is about how the population of America is in a tight coil of economic panic. As budgets of teachers, firefighters and police officers are being slashed, in the end create havoc amongst the populous and leave people fighting for survival. As this is happening to the 99%, the million/billion dollar corporations , Google, Apple, and Ford are and still are today making enormous amounts of profits. Even worse is that these businesses have ties with important political leaders and hide away their gaining’s by putting them away overseas that way to avoid the income tax. As of now, these corporations can have even more success in hiding away their money in fact of that now 50 countries worldwide are considered to be offshore tax havens. The video also shows a group, US Uncut movement, in which fight back against this unfairness going on in our nation.
