How do you currently approach the weekly readings in the course?
I approach my weekly readings thinking I have to do it, but not really wanting to do it.
I find it difficult to concentrate when reading weekly assignments that I’m not interested in. I also find that I’m easily distracted if I’m not interested in what I have to read, sometimes I find I have to re-read some things if I’m bored with the reading, I’m really bad at this if I have distractions like the TV, I tend to watch TV in the middle of my reading, and then I forget what I have already read. But I do eventually finish my readings, I know it’s not the best way to go about completing my readings during the weeks, but as of right now it’s the only way I can go about completing the reading assignments.
How might you incorporate three of the suggestions covered this week into your study time?
I incorporate some of these suggestions by taking notes and putting all my notes for that reading in a folder, so I can refer back to my notes when doing assignments for each reading. Another strategy I can incorporate is doing all my readings at the same time each week, and during that time turning off all electronics and anything that will distract me, and then read maybe…
