Describe ways each organization will communicate with leadership to ensure alignment of organizational goals and gain buy-in from staff to achieve compliance with the standards and requirements issued by regulatory and accreditation bodies. Vanderbilt University Medical Center is one of the largest health care organizations in the Middle Tennessee and its reputation is known to be the key to effective communication as a integrated strategy. This health care organization use the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) to use the different methods to communicate leadership to ensure that goals and standards are achieved in a timely manner, and these methods include:
Objectives-to communicate to let the organization know what goals they want to accomplish.
Strategies-to communicate and let the organization know how they want it accomplished.
Tactics-is what the organization will use to communicate to move forward. Vanderbilt Medical Center accreditation bodies are with The Joint Commission which may or may not accredit any health care organization depending on the standards which are required to be accredit or certified, National Patient Safety, Medicare and the Universal Protocol. HIPPA will play a major role in all health care organization because at all times staff and patient information must be protected by issuing security codes to staff members who may have access to patient information. This will prevent and protect information from being publically known by others who should not have any knowledge of patient medical information without patient consent. HIPPA is put into place in organizations to prevent law suits. Baptist Ambulatory Surgery Center communicates with leadership to ensure alignment by:
