Do African Americans get treated differently in today's society because of their skin tone? Yes African Americans do they have always been treated differently history would vindicate that. From them being brought over from Africa as slaves they already stepped into America as less than a human being and inferior to a certain group of people. This mentality of being inferior has allowed certain citizens to treat African American poorly or unjust. Again I reiterate that history would vindicate for us that African Americans most definitely don’t get treated equal the civil rights movement. Also African Americans aren’t the only the who have been faced with racial issues or been judged by their skin tone Middle eastern citizens also are facing issues due to their race. After 9\11 the the tragic day in american history it casted a horrible shadow to Middle eastern individuals and some were just living their lives having nothing to do with the events or condemning them that happened on 9\11. There is much going on around the world and there are much more tragedies and hardships that many other people face.But here in present day America we can do a radical change and fix the controversial issue that has to do with the african americans and people of people of color that we as american . Then again I you can argue that African american people are judged and look at differently because some of them don’t stand up up for the the flag and at least honor our veterans that have fought and served for their right to stand up for the flag or sit down which is a valid point in some points because some African americans don’t stand up for the flag that doesn't justify the killing and mistreatment of the african American people just because they have different views of the county or a sense of patriotism. Then again do you blame the African americans they have been discriminated segregated taken from their home used as property as slaves then inforced a something named Jim crow laws this so in all honestly would you have a sense of patriotism for a country that has done this to your people and is continuing to do it.
