There were multiple reasons for the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Some of the reasons were: economic, political, and the lack of soldiers in the military. As the empire ceased to expand, economic growth ceased to expand and they went broke. Also the majority of the population was excluded from political responsibilities. According to Document 2; Christianity had some influence on the fall of the Roman Empire. Christianity helped change the moral values of society, wealth was taken from the rich and given to charity. As the Roman Empire expanded, the economy expanded. "When the empire ceased to expand, however, economic progress soon ceased." (Doc. 3). Unemployment was high and the abundance of slaves kept wages low. In Document
