What Are Nellie's Characteristics

A long time ago women were not treated fairly in Canada or over the world. We read an auto biography about Nellie Mclung one of the Famous Five. A group of 5 women who fought for women’s rights. In the biography we saw some of Nellie’s characteristics, which I thought were caring, determined, and intelligence. In the following paragraphs you will see why I think these are her characteristics.
I thought Nellie was caring because in the biography she did some things that showed caring. "Nellie was concerned about poverty and despair around her." page 11 paragraph 2 of Writing Books and Winning Battles. "At school Nellie was a bright student." Which was clearly shown that she was intelligent. "Before her sixteenth birthday Nellie went to Winnipeg to train to become a teacher.” Which she did and is very hard for women to become a well educated teacher. I think this because it clearly states in the story that Nellie was a bright student also in the story women had very little jobs to choose from and Nellie became a teacher which I think you have to be very bright to be. Also how would Nellie win the right for Women to vote and be in the Senate without being intelligent. That is why I think she is intelligent.
We all know that the fight for woman’s rights was difficult but we are making it slowly with people like Nellie Mclung. Nellie Mclung showed us that she is caring, determined, and intelligent through many acts on her journey through her fight. Today we recognize Nellie and the Famous Five in many ways, their characteristics is one of the reasons she was able to fight for women’s right to vote. I hope you realize Nellie Mclung’s potential, as you can see she deserves to be
