People will tell me what’s best for myself or attempt to convince me to quit. Many people wouldn’t want me to succeed in becoming a personal trainer because they think they know what’s best for me, but they don’t. People may try to convince me to become something along the lines of a doctor or lawyer because they are more respected professions, but that isn’t what I want to do. The Lotus Eaters gave some of Odysseus’s men a fruit that caused them to lose focus of their ultimate goal of getting back to Ithaca. These relate so closely because the Lotus Eaters gave what they thought was best thing for Odysseus and his men to them yet it was not good for them and caused them to lose sight of their original goal. People will also try to give me what they think is best for me but it may not be and cause me to have trouble reaching my goals, or even cause me to lose sight of my goals
