The Local Government is the city level government. The Local Government is financed through property taxes. The State Government controls things in the state in which it belongs. The State Government is financed through things such as sales tax in their particular state. Other things such as car registration stickers, inspections stickers and EZ Tags also finance the state. The Federal Government which is based out of Washington receives money from income and corporate taxes. Over two million people work for the Federal Government. An example of someone who works for the Federal Government would be the IRS (Internal Revenue Service). The IRS makes sure that the Federal Government receives their money. Each store that sells marijuana could keep a record of who is buying marijuana and it is the responsibility of the store owner not to allow for a customer to purchase too much marijuana. If the owner fails to recognize the law then he or she will be asked to pay a fine. This is more money that can go to the Federal Government.
One of the many cons to legalizing marijuana is that it can allow for more injuries to happen. Someone who has had too much marijuana and is driving could injure themselves or someone else. Some might say that this is a dangerous law because it would cause more car accidents but it is just as bad as drinking and driving. It just has to be done within reason. With the legalization of marijuana it might be easier for underaged children to be able to obtain marijuana which would be a horrible thing that could possibly happen.
